Few style tips needed on sidebars, breadcrumbs, pagination

Few hopefully quick questions.

1. How can I add a sidebar to a single node discussion list? I only have one node and I use that node as the homepage. I def want a sidebar, but adding a widget to "above sidebar" doesn't display it on this page for some reason.

2. How can I hide the breadcrumbs on top of the page?

3. How can I hide the pagination on top of the page?
