Members -> User Points don't count.

For almost a year I have been monitoring the POINTS a user gets- In the forum navigationbar I click Members and then on the right in the column it says POINT's it has not changed for a year at any of the members. They are active and do a lot but points don't increase.

I wonder what triggers a point or do I have to enable it somewhere?

Some users have 113 points others have 2500 points but it has not changed at any time...
